Winter War Soviets - Before the Quickshade

This is the point during the painting process where I am always a bit afraid. How can the figures look good when they are done? The blocking looks so pedestrian. Yuck!

But then the Army Painter Quickshade is applied and things begin to look up. There are three golden rules to brushing on Quickshade:

1. Don't let it pool.
2. Don't let it pool.
3. Oh and, lest we forget, don't let it pool.

That's it. It is a remarkable transformation between pre- and post-dip. Every nook and cranny is picked out with zero effort. I love this stuff! Below is another picture of the finished troops.
