Army Painter Dip - 3rd Stand

The third stand is nearing the dip stage. As you can see, it really doesn't take that much to get them to this point.

The gray primer seems to be ideal for me. It is a good color that takes the dip well. It also is a good shade color for white so I don't have to paint the belts and straps into every recess, which is time consuming. The gray is light enough so that less pigmented colors like Flesh and Scarlet don't have to have multiple coats to get an even color.

  1. Looking good... can't wait to see them dipped.

Have you thought about mixing Victrix in? I've discovered that their Old Guard minis, with a head swap, work very nicely alongside the Perrys. Have a look at my next post tomorrow.

    Cheers, Simon

  2. That was a great post! It is nice to read about someone who sees the potential in having two plastic manufacturers that are similar, instead of trying to pick one over the other. Each has its merits and having both gives us a wonderful third option.
