Getting started with La Bataille de Kulm
Regular readers of this blog know that I post on non-miniature wargaming topics such as how to make counters, hurting myself, and WW2 with cards. This is one of those posts. I've always been intrigued by the La Bataille wargaming series. The counters are gorgeous and the huge maps are stunning... but I've been hesitant to jump into the system because of the time it takes to play.
La Bataille for newcomers!
Enter La Bataille de Kulm from Against the Odds publishers. This Kickstarter is specifically for people who want to play La Bataille, but don't always have the time or the space to devote to one of their larger offerings.

They are smashing through their stretch goals and are promising gold ink on the counters once they hit $43K. There's a reason La Bataille has been around for decades... it's a great system that yields a historical result. Many people say it is the hex-and-counter equivalent to miniature wargaming in the Napoleonic period.
