Horse & Musket - Amazing Seven Years War Miniatures!

Horse & Musket is my good friend Michael's blog. On it you'll see some of the most beautiful Seven Years War figures ever. I mean, look at these Grenadiers! Most of his figures (Foundry, Black Hussar, Front Rank and Crusader) come from the excellent Leuthen Journal studios and they are meticulously researched and painted.

Michael is first and foremost a historian. His passion and knowledge (not to mention his personal library and miniature collection) are awe-inspiring. When we gather for a Craft Day at his home I always look forward to discussing history, seeing a new figure commission, flipping through a reference book or two, and just having fun with our shared interests.

Whenever I consider delving into a new period, Michael is there to assist me in miniature selection, color choice, application, formation and basing decisions, as well as army selection and historical background. I can honestly say that without his assistance I would never have painted some of my best work: 28mm French Napoleonics and Seven Years War figures.

If you appreciate well painted figures that have been thoughtfully researched then you owe it to yourself to pay a visit to the excellent Horse & Musket.

    1. DeanM - Those figures look even better in person! Look at the Maurice game that we played... amazing! Foundry has some good SYW figures. I like them (depending on the sculptor) as well as Crusader and Front Rank.

Let me know when you paint them up... I'd like to see them! - Jeff
