Tools - Micro-Mark #82393 Snips
I read on the TMP forums that a lot of people don't like multi-part miniatures such as the Victrix and Perry French Napoleonic offerings. They complain that it takes too long to assemble them.
Well, it takes less time to clean the mold lines on a plastic figure than a metal one. A quick scrape with your x-acto knife and you are done! Where the time is longer is in the snipping and the gluing. The gluing takes what it will, but you can save a lot of time if you use the proper snips to make a clean, flush cut that won't damage the miniature and leaves the area as easy to clean as a mold line. The Micro-Mark #82393 snips are ideal for this task. I snipped over 100+ sets of Zulu weapons, shields, heads, legs/feet, torsos, right arms, left arms, spears, guns, etc. and my hands didn't hurt a bit! Assuming that each item had approximately three feeds, that is conservatively over 4000+ cuts made with no errors and hardly any hand fatigue! It was fast and accurate. Amazing!
If you don't have a pair of these, do yourself a favor and pick them up. You won't regret it.
